Terms and condition

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the Mepa Accounting website at www.mepaaccounting.in and to any enquiry you make through it. They also explain, in general terms, the nature of the services we provide. By using this website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Who we are

This website is run by Mepa Accounting, an outsourced back-office accounting support business based in Ahmedabad, India.

Registered business name: Mepa Outsourcing LLP

Contact email: info@mepaaccounting.in

3. The nature of our services

This is the most important section to read and understand.

Mepa Accounting is a back-office support partner. We prepare and process bookkeeping, payroll, accounts, and tax preparation support for our clients and for accounting practices under their own brand.

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

  • We do not sign, submit, file, or lodge accounts or tax returns on your behalf or under our own name.
  • We are not a licensed accountancy, audit, or tax practice, and we do not hold professional practising credentials in the UK, EU, or US.
  • We do not provide audit or assurance services of any kind.
  • We do not provide regulated legal, tax, or financial advice.

Final review, approval, signing, and filing of any accounts or returns always remain with you, or with your own licensed accountant or agent. Our work is prepared for you or your licensed adviser to review and file. Where we describe “tax preparation support”, this means we prepare workings and draft returns for you or your licensed firm to review, approve, and file. It does not mean we file tax on your behalf.

4. Website content is general information only

The information on this website is provided for general information only. It is not professional, legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Before you act on anything you read here, you should take your own professional advice for your specific situation. We try to keep the information accurate and up to date, but we do not promise that it is complete, current, or error free.

5. Services are agreed separately

Nothing on this website is an offer to enter into a contract, and using the site or sending an enquiry does not create a services agreement between us. Any services we provide are governed by a separate written agreement, engagement letter, and, where personal data is involved, a data processing agreement. If there is any difference between those documents and these website terms, those documents take priority for that engagement.

6. Enquiries and quotes

When you send an enquiry or ask for a quote through the site, we use your details to respond to you, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Any prices, rates, or timescales we mention on the website or in an initial quote are indicative only. They are not binding until they are confirmed in a written agreement signed by both sides.

7. Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • use the site in any way that breaks the law or that could damage, disable, or impair it;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any connected systems;
  • copy, scrape, or reuse the site’s content on a large scale without our written permission;
  • upload or send anything harmful, misleading, or unlawful through the site.

8. Intellectual property

Unless we say otherwise, all content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, belongs to Mepa Accounting or is used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not reuse, republish, or exploit any content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Software and third-party links

We work in third-party accounting and payroll software, such as Xero, QuickBooks,Sage, amongst others. Those tools are provided by their own companies under their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Our website may also link to other websites. We provide those links for convenience only, and we are not responsible for the content or practices of any website we do not control.

10. Confidentiality

We treat client information as confidential, and our team signs non-disclosure agreements. The full confidentiality terms that apply to an engagement are set out in the separate agreement we sign with each client. You can read more about our approach on our Security and Confidentiality page.

11. Availability of the website

We aim to keep the website available, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of faults. We may suspend, withdraw, or change all or part of the site at any time, for example for maintenance, without notice.

12. Our responsibility to you

The website is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent allowed by law, we do not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from relying on its content.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Our responsibility for the services we actually provide is set out in the separate agreement for that engagement, not in these website terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page. The version in force is the one published on the site when you use it. Please check back so that you are aware of any changes.
